the title says it all... i just was wondering if anyone else was into it at all. for anyone who wants
examples, check out 8bitpeoples.com
it's when people sample noises from 8-bit games and manipulate them into songs. it's a really
creative form of music in my opinion, and if you're into games and into music it's a no-brainer!
anyone into chiptune music?

I love chiptunes
I listen to them while coding at work:
My favorite 8-bit peoples album right now is Trash80: Icarus, and not just because of the name.
I also like Lo-bat: Game Boy.
Visit chiptune.com to see their sweet DHTML homage to Amiga and download some cool tunes.
I also listen to a lot of kohina.org while at work.

Nice. That's some great stuff there i'd not heard of.... i'll have a good listen today.
I did buy a great cd a while back.... 8-Bit Operators The Music of Kraftwerk:
http://8bitoperators.com/
The Audio & MP3 section has samples from each track on the album.
If you like Synth music there's a great band i recently discovered called Redshift. Not 8 bit music, but they use retro keyboards from the 70's and 80's and have a great old school electronic feeling.
Here they are performing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbVwhMZWI0U
