Downgrade psp

Post by R3V3N4N7 » Fri Jun 23, 2006 12:40 am

HELP! I want my home brews back! My friend tried playing one of his games and upgraded my psp. So if anyone knows how to or something I can download that would be great. Also where can I get that firmware emulator?

If your PSP was upgraded past 2.0 firmware then you are out of luck. As far as I know, there is no "software" method currently to downgrade. The only way you can do it is via harware methods (using the modchip that was recently released, etc.). If however you are at 2.0 then you can downgrade.

As far as DevHook goes, I found it here.

It appears that there is a near complete version of a PSP downgrader for 2.5/2.6 firmware versions.

You definitely want to use this at your own risk. I would probably wait for the "complete" version which they say will probably be released tomorrow. It doesn't appear that it works on 2.7 firmware versions.
