Forum for discussions of retro consoles. Neo Geo, 2600, Odyssey, PSX, and sadly the Dreamcast.

Jeremy Parish over at 1up has decided to start a "classic blog".
http://www.1up.com/do/blogEntry?bId=710 ... Id=5379721
Hi, boys and girls. The extended weekend has filled me with a new resolution. 1UP.com, as you may have noticed, does not have a classics section. Which, I must say, makes it difficult to continue with classic-oriented features. Thus my blog is now 1UP.com's official unofficial classics section. Because, really, who cares about the next generation, with its $500 machines designed for a $10,000 television I will never own? No, my new goal here is clear: this blog will be used to write about vintage games, and god help me, nothing but.
This is sort of surpising due to how much EGM/1UP bash games from the past. However, Jeremy's first article is pretty good, it covers some of classic Castlevania games.

Yeah they can't make up their minds about wether they like old games or not.
Did everyone see the IGN relaunch of the dreamcast site.

It kind of looks like a glorified to 100 list but it's still a neat idea.

Yeah, we mentioned that in the news in the upcoming podcast, I think that is very cool. I still play my Dreamcast at least once a week. Did you ever get to check out Propeller Arena or Half Life on the Dreamcast? I have played both, and they are great... I miss the Dreamcast...

No I never tried those I lean towards the doppy cartoony platformers and rpgs. I did stray from that on the Dreamcast quite a bit though I thought ready 2 rumble was great for one example I reminds me of punch out.
I should dig the Dreamcast out I only have the GCN and PS2 out now. I feel like playing EGG.

Yes I would recommend it highly. All the reviews ripped it saying the graphics were not good enough so I think it got over looked.
